The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level made for intervention activities a substantial inflow of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of status sassa all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
